Thank you again for sending a copy of "Montana Dreams" and the
biographical information. I had the opportunity to listen to the CD
this morning and found it to be soothing amidst the turmoil of the
on-going Special Session. While I don't have the musical skills that
would be needed for a formal review, I can say I honestly enjoyed the
composition and think you did a great job of evoking Montana's natural
legacy.

Best wishes for future success with your work,

I like your cd because I also share the same fellings about Troy and the Yaak Valley as you do.  You see as a youngster,I spent alot of time up at my grandpa Gus Shultz's homestead.  What a time period in my life that was!  That is why I share alot of the same memories as you, when it comes to Troy and the Yaak Valley.  And your music puts alot of thoughts into perspective. I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I still live in Troy and look forward to seeing you over the 4th of July.  A friend in Troy, Dallas Carr

I listened to your CD this weekend.... it was wonderful, and very
peaceful to listen to.  I think I will keep it in the car with me... as I
spend a lot of time there!  Thank you for sharing it with me.

Sincerely, Leanne

Blake and I listened to the CD all the to dinner and back to my hotel.  We both really enjoyed it.  It was very evocative of the region in a great way that few are able to capture.  You should be very proud of your work and thank you for mentioning all of the Steinberg products you used.  We are happy for your success of your work.

All the best,

Greg

I enjoyed listening to it this morning while the house was quiet and there weren't any interruptions.  I'm not at all familiar with how this sort of project is put together but it must require a lot of time, effort and patience getting all the pieces together.  Reading the background information on each section and how the music reflects your history/memories/life really helps put the music in context.  Well done, Doug.

Thanks again for the CD.  I won't be surprised to learn that there is a lot of interest in it.

It is in my machine right now. I thought it was lovely! I am encouraging
colleagues to listen when they have time.

I finished listening to your CD yesterday. It sounds well produced, and has a very interesting mix of styles. It seems to fit in well with the ambient/new age/relaxation CDs. One thing that struck me is how well you got the synths and the acoustic instruments to blend. It's difficult to tell when you move from synth strings to real strings (this is often a dead giveaway of a more amateur production). Congrats on what must have been a very time consuming project.

I have listened to your CD several times and find the pieces to be very intriguing music,
all-the-while quite beautiful, and the performance to be masterful in every way. The
playing on the various trumpets is in tune and full of beauty.  The piccolo trumpet is
like none other that I have heard before--that poor instrument is usually screechy or
forced and that is definitely not the case here.  The form of the overall group of pieces
is pretty interesting too since you create an arch form that is effective.

Congratulations on creating a highly artistic work!
